Oh, man, this wild and woolly, rough and ready band swings all the others into the shade. They growl and moan, shout and sob, loose as a goose and tight like that, with a powerhouse rhythm section of just piano, bass, and guitar that lays it down with a feeling. This isn't just "Swing;" it's jazz from the deepest roots of New Orleans, and it totally sends me. amoore58

This album is magical. Every track is supreme. Engineering is top notch... the clarinet just bursts forth, horns are so vibrant, rhythm section is perfectly balanced. Just when Savoy Blues seems like it might be a little forgettable Haruka comes in and makes it a party. Well done! cdefball
